Where I Was
By 2019, even though I was a nurse with two master's degrees and decades of experience as a healthcare leader, my weight continued to increase, and at 235 lbs, was higher than it had ever been.

I had begun developing several chronic diseases including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type II diabetes, low thyroid, sleep apnea and was physically uncomfortable.

I was exhausted and struggling through each day. I ate every couple of hours, so I never got hungry. I felt like I spent a lot of time thinking about and looking for that special food that would satisfy my cravings and boost my mood, but rarely found it.

I was embarrassed by how I looked, and never knew what would fit because I was either strictly dieting, rapidly gaining weight or putting my head in the sand to avoid dealing with it at all. It was much easier to do something else, for example, work.

I used food to numb myself when I was stressed, anxious, or had any kind of uncomfortable feelings.

I knew I needed to make significant long-term changes, but I wasn’t at all sure I could. After all, I had been trying to lose weight, or unsuccessfully prevent myself from gaining it back, since 1972.
I didn't know it at the time, but I needed a coach.

Where I Am Now
I have lost 120 pounds and kept it off for over four years. I am confident the pounds are gone for good. My weight is within my range daily, and my new clothes and shoes (yes, my feet changed size too) always fit. I weigh about 115 pounds. My blood pressure and labs are within normal limits, and even my sleep apnea is gone. In addition:

I have better ways of handling stress, more energy, and my mood has improved.

My food stays steady no matter how stressful my corporate work or life is.

I am able to travel, go out for meals, and never worry that I won't find a good choice. If there isn't an option, I plan in advance to do something else.

My cravings are gone, and I get full when I eat.

Where I used to be was preoccupied by food and what was going to 'hit the spot', I don't think that much about food anymore.

Even though I keep it simple, I genuinely like my food, It has become just fuel for my body.

I'm healthier than I've been in decades.

I became a professional coach.
What Changed
About 30% of people's brains are triggered by ultra processed foods that leave them hungry all the time. That was the situation with me. Once I removed these substances, and did the work to heal my body and brain, I realized I could help others do it too. I could be the partner you need to help you reach your health and well-being goals once and for all.
